Focus, An Absolute Triumph

Today was our final day at Focus on imaging in Birmingham NEC. It has been an incredible week, slightly stressful but all worth it. We have met some amazing people as well as having a load of fun. We were given a new and very special award today, for the best University stand as well as £1000 voucher for camera equipment. The award has been designed especially for us and because of our creative and unusual stand and will hopefully continue next year.

One Impressive Day

Yesterday our class took a trip to London and met with Kimberley and Zak from The Guardian, Daisy from East Photographic, Lucinda from Proud Galleries and Jake, Lee and Mischa from Getty.
This was a great opportunity to make connections and learn more about the industry.
The trip was a part of our current module, Professional photographer that is designed to smooth our transaction from student to professional.

Blues Brothers

This was my first ever favourite film as a kid, I would watch it over and over again as all kids do.
I worked on this poster with Sophie Laws for our student flat 60b exhibition at Focus Photo festival. We had to recreate a famous movie poster using members of our class as models.
I came up with the idea and approached our lovely two Dave's, gathered the props and made the boards and assisted the shoot. Sophie took the photographs and Dave Stokes took care of the post production for us.
